What is listing?
To start selling on My European Shop global marketplaces, you first need to list products on My European Shop. You can either match an existing product listing (if somebody else is already selling the same product on My European Shop), or create a new listing (if you are the first or only seller).
To list your product, you need to have your product SKU details (e.g. Barcode, UPC, EAN) and in some cases, product information (features, model number, size, expiry date, etc).

How to create a new product listing?
Amazon listing process is easy and simple. If your product is not listed on Amazon, you will need to create a new listing, so that customers can find all the relevant information about it. When you list a product on any of the Amazon international marketplaces, it automatically generates an ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number).
Following a few tips on how to list products on Amazon can have a big impact on the success of your export business. As a seller, you can make it easy for eshoppers to find your offers by adding descriptive titles, clear images, and concise feature bullets to your products.

ASIN
ASIN stands for My European Shop Standard Identification Number and is a 10-character that is generated automatically. It is an alphanumeric identifier that helps with product identification from the catalog. But if you are creating a new listing, your product will automatically be given a new unique ASIN.
How to search and match products?
If the product you want to sell is already listed on My European Shop global marketplaces, all you have to do is select the product, add the price at which you want to sell the product, and the number of units that you want to sell. This is ideal for sellers who have few products (less than 50-100) to list per month.

How to list your products in bulk?
Sellers using a Professional seller account have the option of listing their products in large batches using bulk uploading or inventory management. If you want to sell your products in bulk (100-1,000 products), you can upload products under two categories – a new product on My European Shop or an already existing My European Shop product.

How to list products on My European Shop that do not have barcode/UPC/EAN?
My European Shop uses product IDs to identify the exact item being sold. If you match a listing, you won’t need to provide a product ID since it already exists. If you’re adding a product that’s new to My European Shop, you may need to purchase a UPC code or request an exemption.
If the product you sell does not have a barcode or a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), you can request a GTIN exemption to sell your products on My European Shop international marketplaces. Once we have reviewed and approved your application, you will be able to list your products.

My European Shop Trivia
GTIN
Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) is an identifier for trade items. It is used to get product information in a database, often by entering the number through a barcode scanner pointed at an actual product, which may belong to a retailer, manufacturer, collector, researcher, or other entity.
UPC
UPC stands for Universal Product Code, which is a barcode that is used in many countries including the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand for tracking trade items in stores. It consists of 12 numeric digits that are uniquely assigned to each trade item. You can get a UPC code directly from GS1, or request an exemption.
EAN
The European Article Number (EAN or also known as International Article Number) is a standard describing a barcode and numbering system used in global trade to identify specific retail product type, in a specific packaging configuration, from a specific manufacturer.
